Lakewood Lodges road is plowed out to Huddle’s Reef (2 miles). We are currently allowing up to 3/4 ton trucks out on the ice road with some tandem axel ice houses out on the lake. Lakewood Lodges have bridged a large crack & are reporting that this bridge will move locations. We just received more bait for the weekend, Rainbows and Fatheads in stock. We have Off-Sale Beer located at the Trapper’s Landing office.
Walleye continue to be a night bite over top the rock reefs and rock points in 12-17ft of water on the main lake. Northland Buckshot Flutter spoons and VMC Tingler spoons tipped with a minnow head are working well. Always make sure you have a setline with rainbow minnow nearby as well. During the day the anglers keeping mobile and are finding their fish in 15-20 ft water, fishing with #4 Northland Puppet Minnows or #7 Rapala Jigging Raps. Perch and Panfish can be found in Boy Bay, Headquarters, Miller and Uram Bay in 8-12 ft of water. Perch are enjoying a full minnow under a bobber and the Crappies are enjoying a VMC 1/32 tipped with your favorite plastic.
Good luck, Happy New Year and stay safe on the ice. Stop in for drinks & pizza at our BeachFire bar, which opens at 5pm. We are looking forward to hearing all the great fishing stories!
